THE PENTACLE OF HAPPINESS

A free browser game that tests your life balance

Life is made up of different parts, and it brings joy when we give attention to each of them. My free game “The Pentacle of Happiness” teaches you to juggle life’s events so you can live a full and happy life. Don’t let any sphere drop to zero — and have fun! I recommend signing in with your Google account: that way you get access to extended statistics of your runs.

Five spheres of life

How to play

  1. Each week you pick one of several event cards. Every card lifts some spheres of life — and the spheres you ignore quietly sag.
  2. Don’t let any sphere drop to zero. Random events intervene, just like in real life.
  3. Every season — 13 weeks — you level up and choose one of three gifts that change how the game plays.
  4. When the run ends, the game shows how long you held the balance, your Gift and your Shadow.

What you learn about yourself: your Gift and your Shadow

The Pentacle of Happiness is an interactive alternative to the “Wheel of Life” self-coaching exercise. Instead of rating your life on paper, you live a year of choices — and the game reveals which two spheres you naturally keep strong (your Gift) and which two you tend to neglect (your Shadow). There are 21 archetypes to discover; a few of them:

Many players say a short session helps them calm down, slow their thoughts and feel a quiet state of happiness — the unhurried pace and soothing soundtrack work almost like a small meditation.

FAQ

Is the game free?

Yes. It’s completely free, with no ads, no paywalls and no registration; it runs in your browser with nothing to install and is available in six languages. The project is funded solely by voluntary donations from players — see the next question.

Can I play without signing in?

Absolutely — and you lose nothing. The game plays exactly the same: your records, run history and archetype collection are stored locally in your browser. Signing in only adds the cloud account page and the Hall of Fame on top.
